My little Reading Coloring Machine!

The past 3 nights Aaron has been reading books out loud before he goes to sleep. This evening I told him that the books with the E (easy) on it he can read. I told him the next time we go to the library we will have to get some more books with E's on them. He read Freight Train last night and the only word that tripped him up was Trestles and tonight he read two books, I Love Planes and The Carrot Seed. After each book he read he gave himself a sticker.

Today was a color fest. Daddy put Aaron down for his nap, and little did Daddy know but Aaron had a blue marker in his hand. After about 20 minutes Daddy went to check on Aaron to see if he was sleeping. He definitley was not sleeping, he had been frantically coloring everything he could see, the couch, the fishy aquarium on his bed, the blanket, and himself from head to toe. Daddy sent me a picture of the aftermath when I was working. I guess every kid has to have their moment. I remember when my younger sister colored herself with markers from head to toe when she was 3 as well.

Aaron also had an obsession with the song Skip to my Lou today. Too stinking cute! He was trying to spell Skip on the computer to look up videos on YouTube and he kept spelling it Sip.

Wow!

I can't believe I haven't updated my blog in almost 3 months!

What has happened:

Thanksgiving was fun! We went over to Nana's and Joe, Monica, Gabreilla, Enrique, Jordan and Dina were all there. It stunk a bit since Jason works 3rd shift and we had to bow out early.

Then the next weekend we went on our long 16 day vacation to WDW! Aaron had such a good time this time. He actually enjoyed Kilimajaro Safari's actually falling asleep on it one of the times! Jungle Cruise he loved and others.

He sings Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow all the time now.

For Christmas just Aaron, Grandma, Papa and momma went up to Michigan for a few days while Daddy stayed home to work. We missed Daddy, but Aaron sure had fun! On the way there he was reading the signs and we passed a TA and he said there is the Ta! It was so funny and cute! He got a MobiGo, and Mater that shakes and goes, and Elf on the Shelf.

Santa came to Aaron's house the day after we got back. He still slowly opened and played with each present that Santa brought.

Wednesday:

I finally got to take a Aaron to school (kids club). The first week Dada took him and Aaron freaked out so bad and disturbed the other kids that the teacher told Jason to take him into the hallway to see if he could calm him down. He couldn't calm down he was in hysterics, so Jason just brought him home. I took the next week off (well technically a half day) thinking I could calm him down better since I take him to storytime at the library, but the teacher, Mrs. Wilson, was on a missions trip in Colombia with her church, so I had to try again the next week.

Which leads us to this past Wednesday. Aaron was really shy and scared at first when they were playing with musical instruments and jumping around to the music, I think he is self conscious. But once he got to make a craft he was loving it! He made his first ever artwork, a snowman in a snowstorm. He used Elmer's glue and did such a great job. He kept saying, "look it, I am making a snowman!" He was so excited! I knew at this time he was having so much fun that I told him I was going to go out in the hallway now because you are a big boy now and big boys have to go to school without their momma's. I love you and he said I love you back. He was in the class for over 40 minutes by himself! Success! I am so proud of him!!

Yesterday:

Dada and Aaron and I went to the Olive Garden and had a nice family night out. Daddy was teaching Aaron how to play the box game and then Dada told Aaron to draw a picture of mommy, but Aaron said it was too hard you do it Daddy, so Daddy obliged and drew a picture of mommy. It was funny, I had evil eyebrows and Daddy drew me with my tongue sticking out. Aaron read the menu and ordered spaghetti. It was so cute watching him slurp it up. After dinner we went to Woodfield and Aaron wanted to go to the Lego Store. We went there and of course he wanted something, but I told him he should wait for his birthday and he was sad, but after a little while he understood and told me that he will be better and that he had a Wonderful time! Earlier this day when I was talking to him on the phone he told me he had a wonderful nap!

Today:

We went to Avanti Cafe with Grandma for the first time and Aaron picked where we were going to sit. When he sat down he was in front of the Gelato freezer and Aaron said, "I am sitting next to the ice cream shop." He was staring in the window at himself lip-signing along to the Italian music that was on over the speaker. After our ummy dinner Aaron tried a spoonful of the Banana gelato and loved it, so he got a dish full!
